Removal & Installation



Upper Control Arm
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  4.  
  5. Remove the rear wheel.
  6.  
  7. Place a floor jack under the trailing arm, and support the suspension.
  8.  
  9. Remove the wheel speed sensor harness bracket from the upper arm.
  10.  
  11. Remove the flange bolts (A) and remove the upper arm (B).

To install:

  1. Install the upper arm (B) and loosely install the flange bolts (A).
  2.  
  3. Install the wheel speed sensor harness bracket to the upper arm.
  4.  
  5. Place a floor jack under the trailing arm and raise the suspension to load it with the vehicle weight before tightening the flange bolts.
  6.  
  7. Tighten the new flange bolts to 69 ft. lbs. (93 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Install the rear wheel.
  10.  
  11. Check the wheel alignment and adjust it if necessary.
