Removal & Installation




CAUTION
Before inspecting the high-voltage system or disconnecting the low voltage connector of the inverter with converter assembly, take safety precautions, such as wearing insulated gloves and removing the service plug grip to prevent electrical shocks. Make sure to turn the power switch off before removing the service plug grip. After removing the service plug grip, put it in your pocket to prevent other technicians from accidentally reconnecting it while you are working on the high-voltage system. After disconnecting the service plug grip, wait for at least 10 minutes before touching any of the high-voltage connectors or terminals.

  1. Remove the luggage compartment floor mat.
  2.  
  3. Remove the spare wheel cover clamp.
  4.  
  5. Remove the spare wheel cover.
  6.  
  7. Remove the 2 screws and the 2 luggage compartment trim hooks.
  8.  
  9. Remove the rear floor finish plate.
  10.  
  11. Remove the luggage compartment rear trim cover.
  12.  
  13. Remove the luggage compartment left inner trim cover.
  14.  
  15. Remove the 2 rear seat headrest assemblies.
  16.  
  17. Remove the rear center seat headrest assembly.
  18.  
  19. Detach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion from the vehicle body.
  20.  
  21. Remove the seat cushion.

  23. Remove the bolts and the left and right separate type rear seatback assemblies.
  24.  
  25. Remove the right and left rear side seat back assemblies.
  26.  
  27. Remove the left and right rear door scuff plate.
  28.  
  29. Remove the left and right rear door opening weatherstrip.
  30.  
  31. Remove the left and right roof side inner garnish.
  32.  
  33. Disconnect the rear seat belt assemblies.
  34.  
  35. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the rear seat shoulder belt covers and belt hole covers.
  36.  
  37. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly, then remove the package tray trim panel assembly.
  38.  
  39. Remove the 3 clips and front luggage compartment trim cover.
  40.  
  41. Remove the left and right trim panel assembly.
  42.  
  43. Remove the No. 1 HV battery intake duct.
  44.  
  45. Remove the 2 bolts, clip, and No. 2 HV battery intake duct.
  46.  
  47. Remove the bolt from the battery cooling blower assembly.
  48.  
  49. Disconnect the connector from the battery cooling blower assembly.
  50.  
  51. Remove the battery cooling blower assembly shown in the illustration.

To install:

  1. Install the battery cooling blower assembly.
    WARNING
    Do not touch the fan of the battery cooling blower assembly. Do not hold the wire harness when lifting the battery cooling blower assembly. Be sure to engage the cutout on the battery cooling blower assembly to the bushing securely.

  2.  
  3. Install the mounting bolt to the battery cooling blower assembly. Tighten to 71 inch. lbs. (8 Nm)
  4.  
  5. Install the No. 2 HV battery intake duct with the 2 bolts and clip. Tighten to 71 inch. lbs. (8 Nm)
  6.  
  7. Install the No. 1 HV battery intake duct.
  8.  
  9. Install the right and left room partition boards.
  10.  
  11. Install the front luggage compartment trim cover with the 3 clips.
  12.  
  13. Install the package tray trim panel assembly as follows:
    1. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.
    2.  
    3. Engage the 4 clips and 5 claws and install the package tray trim panel assembly.
    4.  
    5. Connect the connector.
    6.

  15. Engage the claws and install the rear seat shoulder belt cover and hole cover.
  16.  
  17. Install all seat belt assemblies and tighten mounting bolts to 31ft. lbs. (42 Nm)
  18.  
  19. Install the left and right roof side inner garnish.
  20.  
  21. Install the left and right door trim weatherstrip.
  22.  
  23. Install the left and right door.
  24.  
  25. Install the left and right rear side seat back assemblies.
  26.  
  27. Install the left and right separate type rear seat back assemblies.
  28.  
  29. Install the rear seat cushion by attaching the front hooks of the bench type rear seat cushion assembly to the vehicle body.
  30.  
  31. Confirm that the seat cushion is firmly installed.
  32.  
  33. Install the rear seat headrest assemblies.
  34.  
  35. Install the left luggage compartment inner trim cover.
  36.  
  37. Install the luggage compartment rear trim cover.
  38.  
  39. Engage the 7 clips and install the rear floor finish plate.
  40.  
  41. Install the 2 No. 1 luggage compartment trim hooks with the 2 screws.
  42.  
  43. Install the spare wheel cover assembly and clamp
  44.  
  45. Install the luggage compartment floor mat.
  46.
