Power Mirrors



Diagnosis & Testing

Specific to:

Toyota Camry 2007-2010

Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the system. Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom. Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions.

  1. If the power mirrors cannot be adjusted manually, check the following:

    ECU-ACC fuse
     
    Outer mirror switch
     
    Outer rear view mirror LH/RH
     
    Wire harness
     

  2.  
  3. If the mirror heater does not operate, check the following:

    MIR HTR, A/C No. 2, RR DEF fuses
     
    Heater control panel assembly
     
    A/C amplifier assembly
     
    RR DEF relay
     
    Outer rear view mirror LH/RH
     
    Wire harness
     

  4.  
  5. Repair or replace as necessary.
  6.  

Removal & Installation

Specific to:

Toyota Camry 2007-2008


CAUTION
Models are equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), which uses an air bag. Whenever working near any of the SRS components, such as the impact sensors, the air bag module, steering column and instrument panel, disable the SRS.


NOTE
Motor is part of the mirror assembly and cannot be serviced separately.

Mirror Switch

Specific to:

Toyota Camry 2007-2008

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  4.  
  5. Disengage the 3 claws and the 2 clips. Disconnect the connector and remove the instrument panel sub-assembly.
  6.  
  7. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the outer mirror switch assembly.
  8.  
  9. To install, reverse removal procedure.
  10.  

Specific to:

Toyota Camry 2009-2010
