Removal & Installation



Specific to:

Toyota Camry 2007-2008

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front wheels.
  4.  
  5. Separate steering intermediate shaft assembly.
  6.  
  7. Separate tie rod end sub-assembly.
    NOTE
    If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a hexagon wrench (6 mm) to hold the stud.

  8.  
  9. Remove the 2 nuts and the front stabilizer link assembly

  10.  
  11. Remove the engine assembly with transaxle.
  12.  
  13. Remove the bolts and the left and right No. 1 stabilizer brackets.
  14.  
  15. Remove the engine assembly with transaxle.
  16.  
  17. Remove the bolts and the left and right No. 1 stabilizer brackets.

  19. Remove the 2 front No. 1 stabilizer bar bushings from the front stabilizer bar.
  20.  
  21. Remove the front stabilizer bar from the vehicle.
  22.  

To install:


NOTE
Make sure that the cutout of the front stabilizer bar bushing No. 1 faces the rear side as shown in the illustration.

  1. Install the 2 front stabilizer bar bushings No. 1 to the outside of the bushing stopper on the front stabilizer bar.

  3. Install the No. 1 left front stabilizer bracket with the 2 bolts and tighten to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Install the No. 1 right front stabilizer bracket with the 2 bolts and tighten to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Install the engine assembly with transaxle.
  8.  
  9. Install the left front stabilizer link assembly with the 2 nuts and tighten to 55 ft. lbs. (74 Nm).
  10.  
  11. Install the right front stabilizer link assembly with the 2 nuts and tighten to 55 ft. lbs. (74 Nm).
  12.  
  13. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
  14.  
  15. Inspect and adjust the front wheel alignment.
  16.  

Specific to:

Toyota Camry 2009-2010

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front wheels.
  4.  
  5. Separate steering intermediate shaft assembly.
  6.  
  7. Separate tie rod end sub-assembly.

  9. Remove the 2 nuts and the front stabilizer link assembly

  11. Remove the engine assembly with transaxle.
  12.  
  13. Remove the bolts and the left and right No. 1 stabilizer brackets.
  14.  
  15. Remove the engine assembly with transaxle.
  16.  
  17. Remove the bolts and the left and right No. 1 stabilizer brackets.

  19. Remove the 2 front No. 1 stabilizer bar bushings from the front stabilizer bar.
  20.  
  21. Remove the front stabilizer bar from the vehicle.
  22.  

To install:


NOTE
Make sure that the cutout of the front stabilizer bar bushing No. 1 faces the rear side as shown in the illustration.

  1. Install the 2 front stabilizer bar bushings No. 1 to the outside of the bushing stopper on the front stabilizer bar.

  3. Install the No. 1 left front stabilizer bracket with the 2 bolts and tighten to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Install the No. 1 right front stabilizer bracket with the 2 bolts and tighten to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Install the engine assembly with transaxle.
  8.  
  9. Install the left front stabilizer link assembly with the 2 nuts and tighten to 55 ft. lbs. (74 Nm).
  10.  
  11. Install the right front stabilizer link assembly with the 2 nuts and tighten to 55 ft. lbs. (74 Nm).
  12.  
  13. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
  14.  
  15. Inspect and adjust the front wheel alignment.
  16.
