Stabilizer Bar (Sway Bar) & Links

Removal & Installation



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.  
  3. Raise and support the vehicle.
  4.  
  5. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Front wheels
     
    Stabilizer link nuts from control arm
     
    Stabilizer links
     
    Stabilizer bar insulator clamps
     
    Stabilizer bar
     
    Insulators
     

  6.  

To install:

  1. Install new insulators on the stabilizer bar.
  2.  
  3. Install or connect the following:

    Stabilizer bar and insulator clamps. Tighten the bolts to 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm).
     

  4.  
  5. Support the lower control arms at ride height.
  6.  
  7. Install the stabilizer links and tighten the nuts to 32 ft. lbs. (44 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Install the front wheels and lower the vehicle.
  10.

To install:
