To install:

WARNING
The wheel speed sensor is a tight fit and is to be pushed in by hand. DO NOT force the sensor into position, as damage to the sensor could result.

WARNING
Wheel speed sensors must be given an anti corrosion coating before installation to prevent corrosion. Use silicone grease P/N 12345579 or equivalent.

  1. Install the wheel speed connector (1) to the wiring harness connector (2).
  2.
  3. Install the cable (3) for the wheel speed sensor into the clips on the spring strut and the wheel housing.
  4.
  5. Install the wheel speed sensor (3) into the steering knuckle (1).
  6.
  7. Install the speed sensor bolt/screw (2) and tighten to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
    WARNING
Proper installation of the wheel speed sensor harness is critical to continued system operation. Failure to install the harness in brackets as shown may result in contact with moving parts, and/or over extension of the wires, resulting in circuit damage.

  8.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10.
  11. Use an OBD II compatible scan tool to perform a system check.
