Trouble Code: P1632



Theft Deterrent Fuel Disable Signal Received

Possible Causes:



Perform the Powertrain Onboard Diagnostic System Check
 
Password Learn Procedure - Attempt to start the vehicle (leave the ignition "on"). The Theft System telltale will flash for 4 seconds and then remain "on" for 10 minutes. Theft System Learn Mode will display Disabled on the Scan Tool
 
Turn the ignition "off" after the Theft System telltale goes "out".
 
Repeat steps 1 and 2 two more times. After the Theft System telltale turns "off" on the 3rd key cycle, and Theft System Learn Mode will display Enabled on the Scan Tool, attempt to start the engine. Once the engine starts the password is learned.

Output Driver 2 Input Voltage High Input

Possible Causes:



AF fuel pump relay control circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
AF fuel pump relay power circuit is open (test the IGN E fuse)
 
AF fuel pump relay is damaged or it has failed
 
AF ECM has failed

TFP Valve Position Switch Malfunction (4T40-E/4T45-E)

Possible Causes:



Inspect the transmission linkage from the gear select lever to the manual valve for proper adjustment
 
TFP valve position switch signal circuit is open or grounded
 
TFP valve position switch circuit shorted to another signal
 
TFP valve position switch is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

Possible Causes:



Ask customer about overloading vehicle, exceeding trailer-towing limit, or towing in O/D
 
ATF level is low, or the fluid is contaminated or burnt

Out-of-position fluid filter or clogged fluid filter, or Internal fluid passage leaks
 
Casting porosity or damage, or damaged gasket or spacer plate
 
Out-of-position gasket or spacer plate
 
Pressure control solenoid is contaminated, stuck or damaged
 
Leaking or stuck pressure regulator valve train
 
Stuck torque signal valve train, or leaking torque signal valve train
 
Damaged or leaking oil pump or inadequate oil pump suction
 
Oil pump cavitation

Possible Causes:



TCC solenoid control circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to system power (B+)
 
TCC solenoid power circuit is open (check the TRANS fuse)
 
TCC solenoid is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed
 
TSB 02-07-30-022A contains a repair procedure for this code

Possible Causes:



Check the ATF level and condition (look for burnt fluid)
 
Transmission may have internal damage (a mechanical fault)

Possible Causes:



TCC release switch signal circuit is open or the PCM has failed
 
Turbine shaft O-ring seal leaks, oil seal rings missing/damaged.
 
TCC control valve damaged or No. 1 check ball is damaged
 
Spacer plate release exhaust blocked with debris
 
Case cover or spacer plate gaskets improperly installed
