  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Position a hydraulic jack under the axle to support the axle.
  2.  
  3. Remove the wheel and tire assemblies.
  4.  
  5. Remove the stabilizer bar link from the stabilizer bar.
  6.  
  7. Remove the shock absorber lower bolt from the axle bracket.
  8.  
  9. Lower the hydraulic jack and tilt the axle and remove the coil spring.
  10.  
  11. Remove and inspect the upper and lower spring isolators.
  12.  

To install:

  1. Install the upper isolator.
  2.  
  3. Install the lower isolator with the isolator locator nub in the axle pad hole.
  4.  
  5. Pull down on the axle and position the coil spring in the lower isolator
    CAUTION
    Ensure the spring is positioned on the lower isolator with the end of the spring coil against the isolator spring locator.

  6.  
  7. Raise the axle with the hydraulic jack.
  8.  
  9. Install the shock absorber to the axle bracket and tighten to specification.
  10.  
  11. Install the stabilizer bar link to the stabilizer bar.
  12.  
  13. Install the wheel and tire assemblies.
  14.  
  15. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
  16.  
  17. Tighten the stabilizer bar links to specification.
  18.  

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Position a hydraulic jack under the axle to support it.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the stabilizer bar links and shock absorbers from the axle brackets.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the track bar from the frame rail bracket.
  6.  
  7. Lower the axle until the spring is free from the upper mount seat and remove the spring
  8.  

To install:


NOTE
Springs can be install with either end up.

  1. Position the coil spring on the axle pad isolator.
  2.  
  3. Raise the axle into position until the spring seats on the upper isolator.
  4.  
  5. Connect the stabilizer bar links and shock absorbers to the axle bracket. Connect the track bar to the frame rail bracket.
  6.  
  7. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
  8.  
  9. Tighten the stabilizer bar links, shock absorbers and track bar to specified torque
  10.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, please familiarize yourself with safety procedures.
  2.  
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Position a hydraulic jack under the axle to support the axle.
  4.  
  5. Remove the wheel and tire assemblies.
  6.  
  7. Remove the lower shock bolt from the axle bracket.
  8.  
  9. Remove the stabilizer bar link from the body rail.
  10.  
  11. Lower the hydraulic jack and tilt the axle and remove the coil spring.
  12.  
  13. Remove and inspect the spring isolators.
  14.

  1. Install the upper isolator.
  2.  
  3. Install the lower isolator.
  4.  
  5. Pull down on the axle and position the coil spring in the lower isolator.
  6.  
  7. Raise the axle with the hydraulic jack.
  8.  
  9. Install the shock absorber to the axle bracket and tighten to 85 ft. lbs. (115 Nm).
  10.  
  11. Install the stabilizer bar link to the body rail, tighten to 75 ft. lbs. (102 Nm).
  12.  
  13. Install the wheel and tire assemblies.
  14.  
  15. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
