Deceleration Valve

Print

DESCRIPTION

A deceleration valve is used on most 6 cylinder engines and most automatic transmission equipped V8's to prevent backfiring in the exhaust system during deceleration. When deceleration causes a sudden increase of vacuum in the signal line the valve opens allowing air to bleed into the intake manifold.
