FLUID RECOMMENDATION AND LEVEL CHECK

The master cylinder is in the left rear side of the engine compartment, on the firewall. To check the fluid level as recommended at each oil change interval:

  1. Clean off the area around the cap. Very small particles of dirt can cause serious difficulties in the brake system.
  2.
  3. Pry the two wire retaining clips off the cap and to one side with a prytool. Take off the cover.
  4.
  5. The proper level in each of the two reservoirs is within 1 / 4 " of the top. Add fluid as necessary.
  6.
  7. Replace the cover and snap the retaining wire back in place.
  8.

CAUTION
Use only high-quality brake fluid specifically designated for disc brake systems. (DOT 3) Ordinary fluid will boil during heavy braking, causing complete loss of braking power.
