The only adjustment required on the TH M 125 transaxle on models through 1981 is the shift linkage (cable) adjustment. The neutral start switch and throttle valve are self-adjusting. The transaxle has only one band, with no provision for periodic adjustment. On 1982 and later models the throttle valve cable was redesigned and is adjustable. SHIFT LINKAGE



  1. Place the shift lever inside the car into Neutral.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the shift cable from the transaxle lever. Place the transaxle lever in Neutral, by moving the lever clockwise to the Low (L) detent, then counterclockwise through the Second (S) and Drive (D) detents to the Neutral detent.

  5. Attach the shift cable to the pin on the transaxle lever. Check the shift operation.

  1. Place the shift lever inside the car into Neutral.
  2.  
  3. Move the slider back through the fitting in the direction away from the throttle body until the slider stops against fitting.
  4.  
  5. Release the metal lock tab.
  6.  
  7. Open the throttle lever to "full throttle stop" position. This will automatically adjust the slider on the cable to the correct setting.
