Signal and Marker Lights

Since the light housing capsules (on the late model vehicles) are constructed by sonic welding, the only service which can be performed is the replacement of the bulbs or the light housing.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Front Turn Signal and Parking Lights
TYPE ONE
  1. Reach up under the fender and twist out the electrical socket from the rear of the housing.
  2.  
  3. Remove the housing-to-front fender extension screws and the housing (pull it rearward).
  4.  
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  6.  

TYPE TWO
  1. Remove the bezel mounting screws and the bezel.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the twist lock socket from the lens housing.
  4.  
  5. Remove the parking light housing.
  6.  

To remove the bulb, turn the twist lock socket at the rear of the housing) counterclockwise 1 / 4 turn, then remove the socket with the bulb; replace the bulb if defective.

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedures.
  2.  

Side Marker Lights

Depending upon the year of the vehicle the side marker light assembly may be accessible by either reaching up from under the vehicle or opening the hood and reaching down into the engine compartment.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the electrical socket and the bulb.
  4.  

To remove the bulb, turn the twist lock socket (at the rear of the housing) counterclockwise 1 / 4 turn, then remove the socket with the bulb; replace the bulb if defective.

  1. Replace the bulb and reinstall the electrical socket assembly.
  2.  

Rear Turn Signal, Brake and Parking Lights

Depending upon the year of the vehicle the light assembly may be accessible by either reaching up from under the vehicle or opening the trunk.

  1. Remove the tail light panel screws and the panel.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the twist lock socket from the lens housing.
  4.  

To remove the bulb, turn the twist lock socket (at the rear of the housing) counterclockwise 1 / 4 turn, then remove the socket with the bulb; replace the bulb if defective.

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedures.
