REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
Remove and install ONLY one lower control arm at a time. If both arms are removed at the same time, the axle could roll or slip sideways, making installation of the arms very difficult.
- Raise and support the rear of the vehicle on jackstands under the rear axle. Remove the stabilizer bar, if equipped.
- Remove the control arm attaching fasteners and the control arm.
- To install, reverse the removal procedures. Torque the control arm-to-frame nut to 70 ft. lbs. and the control arm-to-axle bolt to 79 ft. lbs. If equipped with a stabilizer bar, torque the mounting fasteners to 35 ft. lbs.
Before torquing the fasteners, the weight of the vehicle must be resting on its wheels.
