REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



1962-67 Chevy II
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the screws attaching the motor and blower to the heater assembly.
  4.  
  5. Remove the retainer attaching the blower to the motor shaft.
  6.  
  7. Reverse the above to install the blower.
  8.  

1968 Chevy II and 1969-79 Nova

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the hoses and wiring from the fender skirt.
  4.  
  5. Remove all fender skirt attaching bolts except those attaching the skirt to the radiator support.
  6.  
  7. Pull out, then down, on the skirt. Place a block between the skirt and the fender.
  8.  
  9. Remove the blower-to-case attaching screws. Remove the blower assembly.
  10.  
  11. Remove the blower wheel retaining nut and separate the motor and wheel.
  12.  
  13. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. The open end of the blower should be away from the motor.
