The fluid level in the reservoir of the master cylinder should be maintained up to the top of the FULL mark on the side of the reservoir. Clean the cap and surrounding area of the reservoir before opening, to prevent possible contamination. Add the necessary fluid to maintain a proper level. A drop in the fluid level should be expected as the brake pads and shoes wear. However, if an unusual amount of fluid is required, check for system leaks.
