FLUID RECOMMENDATIONS



Power steering fluid such as Mopar Power Steering Fluid (Part Number 4318055) or equivalent should be used. Only petroleum fluids formulated for minimum effect on the rubber hoses should be added. Do not use automatic transaxle fluid.


CAUTION
Check the power steering fluid level with engine off, to avoid injury from moving parts.

Fig. Fig. 2: If the engine is cold, the fluid level should reach the COLD mark. If the engine is hot, the level should reach the HOT mark. If the fluid measures to the ADD mark, add fluid accordingly

  1. Wipe off the power steering pump reservoir cap with a cloth before removal.
  2.  
  3. A dipstick is built into the cover. Remove the reservoir cover cap and wipe the dipstick with a cloth.
  4.  
  5. Reinstall the dipstick and check the level indicated.
  6.  
  7. Add fluid as necessary, but do not overfill.
