2.4L, 3.3L and 3.8L Engines

  1. With the engine OFF , clean PCV valve area with a suitable solvent.
  2.  
  3. Remove the PCV valve from the mounting grommet or vent valve hose.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the other end of the PCV valve from the vacuum hose.
  6.  
  7. Examine the vacuum hose and replace if the hose is cracked, broken or dried out. Always check the vent hose for clogging. If clogged, replace or clean as necessary.
  8.  
  9. Install a new PCV valve into the hose and install into mounting grommet or vent valve hose.
  10.  

3.0L Engine

  1. With the engine OFF , clean PCV valve area with a suitable solvent.
  2.  
  3. Remove the PCV valve vacuum hose.
  4.  
  5. Using a 15mm box wrench, loosen, then remove, the PCV valve from the intake manifold.
  6.  
  7. Examine the vacuum hose and replace if the hose is cracked, broken or dried out. If clogged, replace or clean as necessary.
  8.  
  9. Install a new PCV valve into the intake manifold and connect the vacuum hose.
