REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Disengage the clip holding the outside end of the wiper arm pivot cover to the wiper arm.
  2.  
  3. Lift the arm cap upward.
  4.  
  5. Remove the nut securing the wiper arm to the wiper pivot shaft.
  6.  
  7. Matchmark the position of the wiper arm to the pivot shaft to ensure correct installation.
  8.  
  9. Using a suitable 2-jaw puller tool, separate the wiper arm from the wiper pivot shaft.
  10.  

To install:
  1. Verify that the wiper motor and linkage are in the park position.
  2.  
  3. Install the wiper arm in correct position over the wiper arm pivot. Align the wiper arm positions as follows:

  1. Left side should be no closer than 2.5 in. (65mm) from the lower edge of the windshield.
  2.  
  3. Right side should be no closer than 1.5 in. (40mm) from the lower edge of the windshield.
  4.  

  1. Install and tighten the pivot nut to 26 ft. lbs. (35 Nm).
  2.  
  3. Install the wiper arm cap cover.
  4.  
  5. Engage the clip to hold the outside end of the wiper arm pivot cover to the wiper arm.
  6.  

Rear

  1. Lift and hold the wiper arm/blade away from the rear window.
  2.  
  3. Using a small flat-bladed tool, lift upward on the lock securing the wiper arm to the wiper pivot shaft.
  4.  
  5. Allow the wiper arm to rest against the lock.
  6.

  1. Remove the wiper arm from the pivot shaft.

  3. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
