  1. Perform fuel system pressure release procedure.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  4.  
  5. Remove vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator.
  6.  
  7. Loosen fuel supply hose clamp at fuel rail inlet and remove hose. Wrap a shop towel around hose to absorb any fuel spillage which may occur when removing hose.
  8.  
  9. Loosen fuel return hose clamp at fuel pressure regulator and remove hose. Wrap a shop towel around hose to absorb any fuel spillage which may occur when removing hose.
  10.  
  11. Remove the fuel pressure regulator attaching nuts. Remove the fuel pressure regulator from the fuel rail.
  12.  

To install:
  1. Lubricate the O-ring for the fuel pressure regulator with a drop of clean engine oil and install it into the receiver cup, on the fuel rail.
  2.  
  3. Install the attaching nuts and tighten to 65 inch lbs. (7 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Connect the fuel return hose to the pressure regulator.
  6.  
  7. Connect the fuel supply hose to the fuel rail.
  8.  
  9. Install the vacuum hose to the pressure regulator.
  10.  
  11. Connect the negative battery cable. Using the DRB II tester or equivalent, use the Actuate Outputs Test-Auto Shutdown Relay to pressurize the system and check for leaks.
