Print

The vehicle can be towed from either the front or rear. If the vehicle is towed from the front make sure the parking brake is completely released.

Manual transaxle vehicles may be towed on the drive wheels at speeds up to 30 mph (48 km/h), for a distance not to exceed 15 miles (24 km), provided the transaxle is in Neutral and the drive line has not been damaged. The steering wheel must be clamped in a straight ahead position.

WARNING
Do not use the steering column lock to secure front wheel position for towing.

Automatic transaxle vehicles may be towed on the drive wheels at speeds not to exceed 25 mph (40 km/h) for a period of 15 miles (24 km).

WARNING
If this requirement cannot be met the drive front wheels must be placed on a dolly. Also, if the transaxle is damaged, the vehicle should not be pulled on the drive wheels, use a dolly or flatbed.
