Manual Antenna

  1. From inside the trunk pull the trunk liner aside.
  2.  
  3. Unplug the antenna lead from the base of the antenna mast.
  4.  
  5. Unscrew the antenna mast from the antenna body.
  6.  
  7. Remove the screw from the mounting bracket.
  8.  
  9. Pull the antenna body down through the rubber grommet.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of removal. Make sure that the grommet locating tab is in-line with the slot in the body before installing the antenna.

Power Antenna Assembly

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. From inside the trunk pull the trunk liner aside.
  4.  
  5. Unplug the antenna lead from the pigtail connector, unplug the wire connector and remove the drain tube from the grommet.
  6.  
  7. Remove the screws attaching the ground strap and antenna brace.
  8.  
  9. Pull the antenna body down through the rubber grommet.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of removal. Make sure that the grommet locating tab is in-line with the slot in the body before installing the antenna. Tighten the antenna bracket ground strap screws to 40 inch lbs. (4 Nm).

Power Antenna Mast

  1. Remove the cap nut.
  2.  
  3. Turn the ignition key to the ACC position and turn on the radio.
  4.  
  5. While the mast is moving up pull upward to remove the mast, contact spring and drive rod from the mast tube.
  6.  

To install:
  1. Insert a new drive rod into the mast tube with the drive teeth toward the antenna motor.
  2.  
  3. Turn off the radio and guide the mast into the tube. The mast may not be fully lowered when first installed.
