Speedometer Cable

The front wheel drive Chrysler, Dodge and Eagle vehicles do not utilize speedometer cables. These vehicles used a distance or vehicle speed sensor to measure the speed of the vehicle. This sensor is mounted on the transaxle near the flywheel. Refer to Driveability & Emissions Controls for more information on the vehicle speed sensor.
