  1. Remove the battery, battery tray and the protective cover from the modulator.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Delta P switch (see illustration).
  4.  
  5. Remove the top bolt holding the modulator bracket to the fender shield.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the 2 master cylinder supply tubes at the modulator. Loosen (but do not remove) the other end of the tubes at the master cylinder; swing the tubes aside without kinking them.
  8.  
  9. Elevate and safely support the front of the vehicle.
  10.  
  11. From below, disconnect the modulator 10-pin electrical connector. Remove the remaining 4 brake tubes from the modulator assembly.
  12.  
  13. Remove the modulator bracket mounting bolt which is closest to the hydraulic junction block.
  14.  
  15. Loosen but do not fully remove the bracket mounting bolt closest to the radiator.
  16.  
  17. Lower the vehicle; lift the modulator assembly and bracket out of the vehicle.
  18.  

To install:
  1. Install the modulator and bracket into position. Use the protruding tab on the modulator to locate and hold the assembly. Make certain the bracket is held by the front mounting bolt.
  2.  
  3. Install, but do not tighten, the bolt holding the bracket to the fender shield.
  4.  
  5. Elevate and safely support the vehicle.
  6.  
  7. Install the bracket mounting bolt closest to the junction block. Tighten both lower mounting bracket bolts to 21 ft. lbs. (28 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Install the 4 hydraulic lines at the modulator; tighten the fittings to 12 ft. lbs. (16 Nm).
  10.  
  11. Reconnect the 10-pin electrical connector to the modulator.
  12.  
  13. Lower the vehicle. Connect the 2 supply tubes from the master cylinder to the modulator. Tighten the fittings at both ends of the tubes to 12 ft. lbs. (16 Nm).
  14.  
  15. Tighten the bolt holding the bracket to the fender shield (Step 11) to 21 ft. lbs. (28 Nm).
  16.  
  17. Bleed the base brake system in the usual fashion.
  18.  
  19. Bleed the modulator assembly following the correct sequences and procedure.
  20.  
  21. Install the protective cover on the modulator assembly.
  22.  
  23. Install the battery tray and battery. Connect the battery cables.
  24.
