REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Slide the driver side front seat fully rearward for working space.
  4.  
  5. Remove the lower instrument panel trim cover.
  6.  
  7. Remove the connecting air duct.
  8.  
  9. Unplug the brake light switch wiring harness connector.
  10.  
  11. Remove the booster push rod retaining clip. Discard the clip (it is not reusable)-a new one will be needed for installation.
  12.  
  13. Remove the brake pedal pivot bolt and nut and remove the pedal from the support.
  14.  
  15. Remove the pivot bolt bushings from the pedal.
  16.  
  17. Remove the brake light switch striker from the brake pedal. The striker must be transferred to the new brake pedal, if the brake pedal is being replaced.
  18.  

To install:
  1. Install new bushings into the pedal. Lubricate the bushings with Mopar® silicone spray lubricant, or equivalent.
  2.  
  3. Install the brake light switch striker and screw to the brake pedal arm.
  4.  
  5. Position the brake pedal in the support, then install the pivot bolt and locknut.
  6.  
  7. Attach the booster push rod to the brake pedal. Use a new clip to secure the push rod pin.
  8.  
  9. Attach the brake light switch wiring connectors.
  10.  
  11. Install the air duct and lower instrument panel trim cover.
  12.  
  13. Connect the battery cable.
  14.
