The only vehicle covered by this information to utilize the Eagle Throttle Body Fuel Injection (TBI) system is the Premier. The Premier uses a 2.5L jeep engine, which greatly differs from the Chrysler manufactured 2.5L engine.
In the Eagle TBI system fuel is injected into the intake manifold from a single fuel injector located in the throttle body. The fuel injector is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The PCM controls the idle speed and air/fuel mixture automatically. The fuel delivery system consists of the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel tubes and hoses, vacuum hoses, the throttle body and the fuel injector.
The TBI system fuel pressure is maintained at 14-15 psi (97-103 kPa) by the fuel pressure regulator (integral to the throttle body) while the pump is operating. Fuel pressure is 0 psi (0 kPa) when the fuel pump is not operating.
