REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Front Door Latch
ALL MODELS

See Figures 1 and 2

  1. Raise the glass to the full UP position.
  2.  
  3. Remove the door trim panel and watershield.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the rods from the handle and lock cylinder, and from the remote control assembly.
  6.

  1. Remove the latch assembly attaching screws and remove the latch from the door.
  2.  

To install:
  1. Install the latch with the mounting screws.
  2.  
  3. Connect the lock cylinder rods to the cylinder assembly. Attach the handle rods.
  4.  
  5. Install the watershield trim panel, as well as any other accessories.
  6.  
  7. Raise and lower the glass slowly to ensure that there is no interference.
  8.  

Rear Door Latch
CREW CAB
  1. Raise the glass to the full UP position.
  2.  
  3. Remove the door trim panel and watershield.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the rods from the handle and lock cylinder, and from the remote control assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the latch assembly attaching screws and remove the latch from the door.
  8.  

To install:
  1. Attach the latch assembly, then install the rod assemblies. Install the attaching screws for the latch.
  2.  
  3. Install the trim panel and watershield.
  4.  
  5. Connect any outer trim pieces, then lower the window and make sure that there is no interference.
  6.  

Door Lock Cylinder

See Figure 3

  1. Place the window in the UP position.
  2.  
  3. Remove the trim panel and watershield.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the actuating rod from the lock control link clip.
  6.

  1. Slide the retainer away from the lock cylinder.
  2.  
  3. Pull the cylinder from the door.
  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
