REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Freeze plugs are removed by using a blunt tool such as a drift and a hammer.
- Strike the bottom edge of the plug to break it loose and tilt it out enough to grab the end with a pair of pliers and remove the plug.
- Clean the inside of the plug hole, then coat the replacement plug with sealant.
- Drive the new plug in until the edges are flush with the block. Do not overdrive the plug or coolant flow restriction can result.
