Cab Mount Bushings

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.

  1. Unplug the wire harness connectors that will interfere with raising the cab.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the parking brake cable and brake lines.
  4.  
  5. If necessary, disconnect the heater and A/C hoses. Refer to Routine Maintenance for discharging procedures.

  1. Disengage the transmission and transfer case shift linkage (if applicable).
  2.  
  3. If equipped, disengage the tubing from the clutch master cylinder.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the steering shaft and gear.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect all remaining connections between the frame and cab.
  8.  
  9. Remove the restraint cables from the cab.
  10.  
  11. Remove all cab hold-down hardware.
  12.  
  13. Lift the cab from the frame.
  14.  
  15. Replace the necessary cab mount bushings.
  16.  
  17. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Replace any damaged hardware. Tighten all fasteners to the specification listed on the torque chart at the end of this section.
