REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. On vehicles with air bags, isolate the cable and wait at least two minutes before continuing with the procedure.
  2.  
  3. Remove the instrument cluster bezel and cluster assembly from the instrument panel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the attaching bolts, then carefully lower the steering column onto the seat.
  6.  
  7. Remove the glove box.
  8.  
  9. Label and disconnect the control cables and vacuum hoses from the heater/air conditioner unit.
  10.  
  11. Remove the fasteners securing the instrument panel.
  12.  
  13. Carefully pull the panel out and unplug any remaining electrical connections as necessary.
  14.  
  15. Remove the panel from the vehicle.
  16.  

To install:
  1. Position the panel in the vehicle and engage any electrical connections which cannot be accessed with the panel installed.
  2.  
  3. Install the panel retaining hardware.
  4.  
  5. Connect the hoses and cables to the heater\air conditioner unit. Refer to Body & Trim for more information.
  6.  
  7. Install the glove box.
  8.  
  9. Raise and install the steering column.
  10.  
  11. Install the instrument cluster and bezel.
  12.  
  13. Connect the negative battery cable.
  14.  
  15. Start the vehicle and check for proper operation of the components.
