REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Dakota, Durango
  1. Open the door.
  2.  
  3. Roll the window down.
  4.  
  5. Remove the window crank, if fitted.
  6.  
  7. Remove the screws attaching the trim panel to the door.
  8.  


WARNING
Do NOT forcibly pull the trim panel from the door as damage may occur.

  1. Simultaneously, lift upward and outward to release the retainer steps from the inner door panel.
  2.  
  3. Disengage the inside handle linkage rod from the inside handle.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the speaker harness wire, if fitted.
  6.  
  7. Disengage the power mirror wire connector, if fitted.
  8.  
  9. Disengage the clips attaching the power window/lock switch panel to the trim panel on Dakota and RAM pickups. The switch is held in place by screws on Durango models. Disconnect the wiring.
  10.  
  11. Separate the trim panel from the vehicle.
  12.  
  13. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  14.

Ram (Front)
  1. Open the door.
  2.  
  3. Roll down the window.
  4.  
  5. Remove the window crank, if fitted.
  6.  
  7. Pry out the power window/lock switch panel from the trim panel, if so equipped. Disconnect the wires from the switch panel.
  8.  
  9. Remove the screw attaching the trim panel to the outside mirror frame.
  10.  
  11. Remove the screws attaching the pull cup to the door.
  12.  
  13. With a trim panel removal tool, disengage the clips around the perimeter of the trim panel attaching the panel to the door.
  14.  
  15. While holding the bottom of the trim panel away from the door, lift upward and inboard.
  16.  
  17. Disengage the power mirror switch connector, if fitted.
  18.  
  19. Remove the trim panel from the door.
  20.  
  21. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Ram (Cargo)
  1. Open the cargo door.
  2.  
  3. Remove the screws securing the pull cup to the door.
  4.  
  5. Remove the screw attaching the inside release handle to the door.
  6.  
  7. The trim panel is secured with spring clips and push-in fasteners. Using a trim panel removal tool, remove the push-in fasteners.
  8.  
  9. Pull the trim panel outward to disengage the spring clips.
  10.  
  11. Remove the trim panel.
  12.  
  13. Disengage the cargo door release cable from the inside release handle.
  14.  
  15. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  16.
