The systems described in this section usually use circuits/components located in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) and/or the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

  1. The Powertrain Control Module is the on-board computer, which manages the ignition and fuel systems, among many other functions.

  3. The Power Distribution Center incorporates relays, fuses, and internal circuitry to centralize and distribute electrical power to all other systems on the vehicle.

The Power Distribution Center is located on the left side of the engine compartment on the fender inner shield.

The Powertrain Control Module is located on the right side of the engine compartment, either on the fender inner shield or on the firewall.
