REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Remove the hardware bolting the links to the stabilizer bar.
  4.  
  5. Remove the hardware bolting the stabilizer bar retainers to the axle.
  6.  
  7. Remove the stabilizer bar.
  8.  
  9. Unbolt and remove the links from the frame, if desired.
  10.  
  11. Replace worn, cracked or distorted bushings.
  12.  

To install:

  1. Install the stabilizer bar and center it with equal spacing on both sides. Tighten retainer hardware to 40 ft. lbs. (54 Nm).
  2.  
  3. Install the links and tighten the hardware on frame and at the bar hand tight.
  4.  
  5. Lower the vehicle onto the suspension.
  6.  
  7. Tighten the links as follows:

    On Durango: link upper, 70 ft. lbs. (95 Nm); link lower, 50 ft. lbs. (68 Nm)
     
    On Dakota: 40 ft. lbs. (54 Nm)
     
    On 97 Ram: link upper, 70 ft. lbs. (95 Nm); link lower, 50 ft. lbs. (68 Nm)
     
    On 98-00 Ram: link upper, 50 ft. lbs. (68 Nm); link lower, 50 ft. lbs. (68 Nm)
