Power Steering Pump

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



  1. If the pump is to be replaced or disassembled, remove the pulley nut before removing the belt.
  2.  
  3. Remove the belt.
  4.  
  5. Place a drain pan under the pump and disconnect both hoses from the pump.
  6.  
  7. Remove the mounting and adjusting bolts and lift out the pump.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of removal. Torque the bolts to 30 ft. lbs. Make sure that the hoses are routed at least 1" from all surfaces and at least 2" from the exhaust manifold.
