1967-69 Models

To remove an arm, remove the nut and pull the arm straight off the drive pivot.

When installing the arm, position the arm so that the blade is parallel with, and 1" above the windshield molding. Tighten the nut to 85 in. lbs.

1970-73 Models

To remove a wiper arm, lift up on the blade and pull the arm straight off the splines on the pivot. There is a tool made for this purpose, but it's not hard to do without the tool.

When installing the arms, the at-rest position of the blades should be determined before pushing the arm onto the pivot. The driver's side blade should be 1.84" above the windshield weatherstripping at the heel of the blade; the passenger's side blade should be 2.24" above the weatherstripping.

To remove the arm from the pivot, lift the arm to permit the latch to be pulled out to the holding position and remove the arm from the pivot with a rocking motion.
