REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



See Figures 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8

  1. Disconnect the negative battery ground cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the screws securing the dash panel cluster bezel.
  4.  
  5. Pull the bezel off of the upper retaining clips.
  6.  
  7. On model equipped, disconnect the message center electrical connector.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the gear shift pointer cable from the steering column (if automatic transmission equipped).
  10.  
  11. Remove the cluster mounting screws.
  12.  
  13. Pull the cluster out just far enough to disconnect the speedometer cable (if equipped).
  14.  
  15. Unplug the wiring connectors at the back of the cluster.
  16.  
  17. Remove the cluster.
  18.  

To install:
  1. Position the cluster at the panel opening.
  2.  
  3. Connect the wiring harness connectors and speedometer(if equipped).
  4.  
  5. Place the cluster into position.
  6.  
  7. Tighten the mounting screws to 20 inch lbs. (2.2 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Connect the gearshift pointer cable to arm on the steering column.
  10.  
  11. Connect the message center wiring harness.
  12.  
  13. Install the dash panel cluster bezel.
  14.  
  15. Connect the negative battery cable.
  16.
