Windshield Wiper Motor

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



See Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4

  1. Raise the hood.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the negative battery ground cable.
  4.  
  5. Unplug the wiring at the motor.
  6.  
  7. Remove the wiper motor mounting bolts.
  8.  
  9. Lower the motor to gain access to the crank arm-to-drive link bushing.
  10.  
  11. Disconnect the crank arm from the drive link by prying the bushing off.
  12.  
  13. Remove the motor.
  14.  
  15. Remove the nut securing the crank arm to the motor.
  16.  
  17. Remove the crank arm.
  18.  

To install:
  1. Install the crank arm. Tighten the retaining nut to 95 inch lbs. (11 Nm).
  2.  
  3. Connect the drive link to the crank arm.
  4.  
  5. Position the wiper motor and install and secure the mounting bolts.
  6.  
  7. Tighten the mounting bolts to 65 inch lbs. (7 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Connect the wiring harness to the wiper motor.
  10.  
  11. Connect the battery cable.
  12.  
  13. Close the hood.
  14.
