A clamp type fuel fitting is a basic hose placed over a metal fuel line with a hose clamp securing the two lines together. To remove the clamp fitting, loosen the hose clamp and slip it off to one side, separate the hose from the metal line. Remove and replace the hose clamp if necessary. Insert the hose end (with the clamp on one of the lines) onto the fuel metal line. Place the clamp over the two ends and tighten securely. Start the engine and check for leakage.
