Adjustment



The wheel hub/bearing unit is not serviceable and must be replaced as an assembly.

Removal & Installation



  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front wheel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the disc brake caliper.
    WARNING
    Support the caliper. Do not let the caliper hang by the hose.

  6.  
  7. Remove the brake caliper adapter
  8.  
  9. Remove the disc brake rotor.
  10.  
  11. Remove the wheel speed sensor nut.
  12.  
  13. Remove the wheel speed sensor.
  14.  
  15. Remove the 3 hub bearing mounting bolts from the back of the steering knuckle. Remove hub bearing from the steering knuckle.
  16.  

To install:

  1. Install the hub bearing to the knuckle.
  2.  
  3. Install the hub bearing to knuckle and the 3 bolts then tighten to 85 ft. lbs. (115 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Install the wheel speed sensor.
  6.  
  7. Install the wheel speed sensor nut.
  8.  
  9. Install the brake rotor
  10.  
  11. Install the brake caliper adaptor.
  12.  
  13. Install the caliper.
  14.  
  15. Install the front wheel.
  16.  
  17. Lower the vehicle.
  18.  
  19. Check and adjust the wheel alignment as necessary.
  20.
