Removal & Installation



Front Door Mounted
  1. Remove the lower door panel.
  2.  
  3. Remove the four screws retaining the speaker to the door
  4.  
  5. Pull the speaker away from the door and disconnect the speaker lead. Remove the speaker from the vehicle.
  6.  

To install:

  1. Firmly push the radio speaker lead into the radio speaker connector.
  2.  
  3. Position the speaker to the door and install the retaining screws.
  4.  
  5. Install the lower door panel.
  6.  

Package Tray Speaker
  1. Remove the package tray panel.
  2.  
  3. Remove the four screws retaining the speaker to the package tray.
  4.  
  5. Pull the speaker away from the package tray and disconnect the speaker lead. Remove the speaker from the vehicle.
  6.  

To install:

  1. Firmly push the radio speaker lead into the radio speaker connector.
  2.  
  3. Position the speaker to the package tray and install the retaining screws.
  4.  
  5. Install the package tray panel.
  6.  

Rear Door Speakers
  1. Remove the lower door panel.
  2.  
  3. Remove the four screws retaining the speaker to the door
  4.  
  5. Pull the speaker away from the door and disconnect the speaker lead. Remove the speaker from the vehicle.
  6.  

To install:

  1. Firmly push the radio speaker lead into the radio speaker connector.
  2.  
  3. Position the speaker to the door and install the retaining screws.
  4.  
  5. Install the lower door panel.
  6.  

Rear Speakers
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the speaker cover.
  4.  
  5. From the inside of the trunk, disconnect the speaker wiring harness from the speaker.
  6.  
  7. Pull one end of the speaker rubber retaining strap to disengage it from the tab on the package tray, then remove the speaker from the vehicle.

To install:

  1. Position the speaker and strap assembly in place with one end of the strap over the tab on the package tray. Pull the opposite end of the strap to index over the other tab, securing the assembly.
  2.  
  3. Connect the speaker harness wiring, then connect the negative battery cable and check speaker operation.
  4.  
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6.  

Subwoofer
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the spare tire.
  4.  
  5. Remove the 4 nut and washer assemblies from the bottom of the subwoofer. Remove the subwoofer by lowering straight down.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the power connector and amplifier input connector located on the forward face of the subwoofer enclosure.
  8.  
  9. The subwoofer and amplifier assembly is now free of the vehicle.
  10.  
  11. To remove the subwoofer amplifier from the enclosure, disconnect the power and input connectors.
  12.  
  13. Remove the 4 retaining screws from the amplifier and remove the amplifier from the subwoofer enclosure.
  14.  
  15. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
