Adjustment



There is no adjustment for the rear wheel bearings due to the nature of their design. These bearings are permanently lubricated and require no periodic maintenance.

Removal & Installation




NOTE
Disable the air suspension before raising the vehicle. The switch is located on the left side of the luggage compartment.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Turn the air suspension switch to the OFF position.
  4.  
  5. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Rear wheel
     
    Brake hose bracket
     
    Brake caliper and rotor
     
    Hub and bearing assembly grease cap and retaining nut
     
    Hub and bearing assembly
     

  6.  

To install:


NOTE
Use new retaining nuts and grease caps

  1. Install or connect the following:

    Hub and bearing assembly. Tighten the retaining nut to 188-254 ft. lbs. (255-345 Nm).
     
    Grease cap
     
    Brake caliper and rotor
     
    Brake hose bracket
     
    Rear wheel
     

  2.  
  3. Turn the air suspension switch to the ON position.
