Specific to:

Toyota Corolla 2007-2008

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the radiator inlet hose.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the radiator outlet hose.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the oil cooler inlet and outlet hoses (for auto trans only).
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the fan motor connector.
  10.  
  11. Disconnect the two clamps for the wire harness from the fan shroud.
  12.  
  13. Remove the two fan mount bolts.
  14.  
  15. Remove the fan with the motor.
  16.  
  17. Remove the radiator assembly.
  18.  

To install:

  1. Install the radiator assembly.
  2.  
  3. Install the fan with the motor.
  4.  
  5. Install the two fan mounting bolts.
  6.  
  7. Connect the two clamps for the wire harness from the fan shroud.
  8.  
  9. Connect the fan motor connector.
  10.  
  11. Connect the oil cooler outlet and inlet hoses (for auto trans only).
  12.  
  13. Connect the radiator hose outlet and inlet hoses.
  14.  
  15. Add engine coolant.
  16.  
  17. Inspect for leaks.
  18.  

Specific to:

Toyota Corolla 1999-2006

  1. Drain the cooling system.
  2.  
  3. Remove the engine under covers.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the electric cooling fan connectors.
  6.  
  7. Remove the radiator hoses.
  8.  
  9. With automatic transmission, disconnect the oil cooling lines.
  10.  
  11. Remove the two upper radiator supports and lift the radiator out.
  12.  

To install:

  1. If removed, install the 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator.
  2.  
  3. Fit the radiator into place, making sure the 2 lower supports fit into the body brackets.
  4.  
  5. Install the 2 upper radiator supports and torque the bolts to 9 ft. lbs. (13 Nm). Make sure the rubber cushions on the upper supports is not crushed.
  6.  
  7. Install the radiator hoses.
  8.  
  9. Connect the transmission cooler lines.
  10.  
  11. Connect the electric fans.
  12.  
  13. Refill the cooling system and run the engine to check for leaks.
