Voltage Regulator

The voltage regulator (2) is a separate component attached to the rear of the alternator assembly (1). If replacement is necessary, the voltage regulator can be replaced separately from the alternator. The amount of DC current produced by the generator is controlled by the voltage regulator circuitry. This circuitry is connected in series with the generators second rotor field terminal and its ground.
