Possible Causes:



Related DTC P0841 may be present.
 
Intermittent wiring or connector problems
 
Extremely low battery (system) voltage
 
L/R Solenoid pressure switch circuit is open or switch has failed
 
Transmission solenoid pack is damaged or has failed
 
Transmission control relay circuit is shorted to L/R solenoid
 
Valve body engine idle too high
 
Valve body solenoid switch stuck in "lockup" position
 
PCM has failed

A/T Solenoid Switch Latched In Low/Reverse Position

Possible Causes:



Related DTC P0841 may be present.
 
Intermittent wiring or connector problems
 
L/R pressure switch sense circuit is open, shorted to ground or to voltage
 
Extremely low battery (system) voltage
 
Transmission pan has debris caused by valve body damage
 
Transmission internal problems, SSV sticking, or valve body damage
 
PCM has failed

O/D pressure switch circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
O/D pressure switch circuit is shorted to the TCR solenoid pack

Transmission seals are damaged or have failed

2/4 line pressure is too high

L/R pressure switch circuit open, shorted to ground or to power
 
L/R solenoid switch valve is stuck in "lockup" position

Solenoid pack is damaged or has failed (causing this code)
 
Valve body bolt torque is out of specification

Battery direct power (B+) circuit is open (test power to PDC)
 
Battery direct power (B+) circuit is shorted to ground (test fuse)
 
Battery was discharged to a low voltage state or disconnected
 
scan tool "quick learn" for quick disconnect function performed

Extremely low battery (system) voltage

P/N switch is stuck in P/N position, or stuck in Drive position
 
P/N switch is damaged or has failed
