The computer regulated, Multi-Point Fuel Injection (MFI) system provides a precise air/fuel mixture ratio for all driving conditions. The fuel injection system is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

The fuel system consists of the fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filter, throttle body, 4 fuel injectors, fuel tubes and vacuum tubes. The fuel system is kept under a constant pressure of 53-57 psi (366-394 kPa). Make sure to relieve the fuel system pressure before servicing any MFI component.
