REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Remove the center pad retaining screws located on the back of the wheel on some models, or pull off the horn pad using steady pressure.
- Paint or chalk matchmarks on the steering shaft and the steering wheel so that they can be correctly reinstalled.
- Unscrew the hub nut and, using a puller, remove the steering wheel.
Don't hammer or otherwise pound on the steering column, as it is collapsible.
- Align the matchmarks and install the steering wheel. Torque the nut to 30 ft. lbs. Install the horn pad and connect the battery cable.
