REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Front
METAL BUMPERS
  1. Remove the push-on fasteners securing the boot to the bumper fasteners.
  2.  
  3. Remove the nuts securing the bumper to the energy absorber unit.
  4.

  1. Lower the bumper to the floor.

  1. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the mounting nuts to 20 ft. lbs. (28 Nm).

PLASTIC FACIA
  1. Remove the two screws from the center of the upper fascia to the radiator yoke bracket.
  2.  
  3. Remove the four screws from the headlamp support braces.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the headlamp wire connectors.
  6.  
  7. Raise and support the front of the vehicle, then remove the 14 plastic rivets from the splash shields. Remove the shields.
  8.  
  9. Remove the 8 plastic rivets from the underside of the fascia to the fender mounting studs.
  10.

  1. Grasp the fascia assembly at the upper louver and remove the fascia assembly.
  2.  


WARNING
It is recommended that the fascia be stored front side up to prevent permanent distortion.

  1. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Rear
RAMPAGE/SCAMP
  1. Remove the push on fasteners securing the boot to the bumper fasteners.
  2.  
  3. Remove the nuts securing the bumper to the energy absorber unit.
  4.  
  5. Lower the bumper to the floor.
  6.  
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the mounting nuts to 20 ft. lbs. (28 Nm).
  8.  

TWO DOOR MODELS
  1. Place a support under the bumper.
  2.  
  3. Remove the 10 fascia retainer nuts.
  4.  
  5. Remove the 6 energy absorber to bumper retaining nuts.
  6.  
  7. Lower the bumper to the floor.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the bumper mounting nuts to 20 ft. lbs. (28 Nm). Tighten the fascia to fender nuts to 5 ft. lbs. (7 Nm).

FOUR DOOR MODELS
  1. Remove the push on fasteners securing the boot to the bumper fasteners.
  2.  
  3. Remove the nuts securing the bumper to the energy absorber unit.
  4.  
  5. Lower the bumper to the floor.
  6.  
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the mounting nuts to 20 ft. lbs. (28 Nm).
