Exhaust Valve (Cyl. 2) Not Operated at Cylinder Cutoff

Possible Causes:



The rocker arm coupling at the exhaust valve of cylinder 2 does not lock although the CSO is switched off.
 
Determine the faulty rocker arm by testing smooth engine running.
 
Replace faulty rocker arm.

Possible Causes:

Possible Causes:



The rocker arm coupling of an inlet valve does not lock although the CSO is switched off.
 
Replace faulty rocker arm(s).
 
NOTE; The fault P1380 can only be detected by analysing smooth engine running in the upper engine load and speed range.

Increased knock tendency due to bad fuel, carbon in combustion chamber or mechanical damage.

Possible Causes:

Test wheel speed signals:



The actual values are supplied through CAN bus from ESP/SPS/BAS control unit.
 
The fault code P1605 is generated by ME-SFI control unit by analyzing the wheel speed signals.

Check version coding and correct.

Possible Causes:



Check cylinder shut-off valve.
 
Test prerequisite: Fault code 'P1666' present. Fault code P1666 may be caused by incorrect mass air flow measurement.
 
Check the entire air intake system (air cleaner, HFM-SFI mass air flow sensor) for correct installation (unmetered air).
