Tie Rod Ends
- Raise and safely support the vehicle.
- Remove the front wheels.
Remove the cotter pin and locknut.
- Remove the cotter pin and nut from the tie rod end.
Using a tie rod end puller, disconnect the tie rod from the steering knuckle.
- Connect the tie rod end to the steering knuckle and tighten the nut to 36 ft. lbs. (49 Nm).
- Install a new cotter pin. If the cotter pin hole does not line up, correct by tightening the nut by the smallest amount possible.
