Blower Motor

Removal & Installation



Body VIN Type 3
  1. Remove the HVAC module-auxiliary assembly.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (4) from the blower motor-auxiliary (3).
  4.  
  5. Remove the air outlet duct from the blower motor-auxiliary.
  6.  
  7. Remove the screws (2,5) from the blower motor-auxiliary.
  8.  
  9. Remove the blower motor-auxiliary (3).

To install:

  1. Install the blower motor-auxiliary (3).
  2.  
  3. Install the retaining screws (2,5) to the blower motor-auxiliary. Tighten the screws to 88 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Install the air outlet duct to the blower motor-auxiliary.
  6.  
  7. Connect the electrical connectors (4) to the blower motor-auxiliary (3).
  8.  
  9. Install the HVAC module assembly.
  10.  

Body VIN Type 6
  1. Remove the right rear quarter trim panel.
  2.  
  3. Remove the retaining bolts (5) from the HVAC module-auxiliary (1).
  4.  
  5. Remove the retaining nuts (4) from the HVAC module-auxiliary (1) under the vehicle.

  7. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3,4).
  8.  
  9. Remove the blower motor screws.
  10.  
  11. Remove the blower motor (1) from the HVAC module-auxiliary (2).
  12.  

To install:

  1. Install the blower motor-auxiliary (1) to the HVAC module-auxiliary (2).
  2.  
  3. Install the blower motor-auxiliary screws and tighten to 18 inch lbs. (2 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Connect the electrical connectors (3,4).
  6.  
  7. Install the retaining bolts (5) to the HVAC module-auxiliary.
  8.  
  9. Tighten the HVAC module-auxiliary retaining bolts (5). Tighten the bolts to 88 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  10.  
  11. Install the retaining nuts (4) to the HVAC module-auxiliary (1) under the vehicle. Tighten the nuts to 88 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  12.  
  13. Install the right rear quarter trim.
  14.
