Removal & Installation



Lower Control Arm
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Remove the lower control arm retaining nuts.
  4.  
  5. Remove the lower control arm retaining bolt.
  6.  
  7. Remove the lower control arm.

To install:

  1. Remove the lower control arm retaining nuts.
  2.  
  3. Remove the lower control arm retaining bolt.
  4.  
  5. Remove the lower control arm.
    NOTE
    Do not tighten the bolts unless the suspension is at the ride height.

  6.  
  7. Install the lower control arm retaining nut.
  8.  
  9. Tighten the lower control arm retaining bolts to 89 ft. lbs. (120 Nm).
  10.  
  11. Remove the rear axle support.
  12.  
  13. Lower the vehicle.
  14.  

Track Bar
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Support the rear axle.
  4.  
  5. Remove the park brake cable retaining clips to remove the parking brake cable from the track bar.
  6.  
  7. Remove the track bar retaining nuts.
  8.  
  9. Remove the track bar retaining bolts.
  10.  
  11. Remove the track bar from the vehicle.

To install:

  1. Install the track bar to the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Install the track bar retaining bolts.
    NOTE
    Do not tighten the bolts unless the suspension is at the curb height position.

  4.  
  5. Install the track bar retaining nuts.
  6.  
  7. Tighten the bolts to 77 ft. lbs. (105 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Install the parking brake cable and retaining clips to the track bar.
  10.  
  11. Remove the rear axle support.
  12.  
  13. Lower the vehicle.
  14.  

Upper Control Arm
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Disconnect the electronic suspension control (ESC) sensor, if equipped.
  2.  
  3. Remove the upper control arm retaining nut and bolt from the frame bracket.
  4.  
  5. Remove the upper control arm retaining nut and bolt from the axle bracket.
  6.  
  7. Remove the upper control arm.

To install:

  1. Install the upper control arm.
  2.  
  3. Install the upper control arm retaining bolt and nut to the axle bracket.
  4.  
  5. Install the upper control arm retaining bolt to the frame bracket.
    NOTE
    Do not tighten the nuts unless the suspension is at the curb height position.

  6.  
  7. Install the upper control arm retaining nut.
  8.  
  9. Tighten the upper control arm retaining bolts to 77 ft. lbs. (105 Nm).
  10.  
  11. Connect the electronic suspension control (ESC) sensor, if equipped.
  12.  
  13. Lower the vehicle.
  14.
